The President of the RAVI Foundation, Mr. Salam Ouédraogo received equipment on Sunday, May 15, 2019, to be used for the construction of a hatchery.

Indeed, as part of the implementation of its activities, the REVIE Foundation has acquired lands in Kokologo in the central-western region and in Djibo in the Sahel region on which it intends to carry out projects in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry. It is in this dynamic of contributing to increasing agro-sylvo-pastoral production and in line with its VA vision (making a locality Vital and Attractive) that the Foundation is in the process of setting up a hatchery that will produce an average of 30,000 fingerlings every 45 days.

Currently, four (04) unemployed young people are being trained to operate this hatchery, the third of its kind set up in Burkina Faso. The RAVI Foundation is the third institution with a hatchery on the national level after those of the University of Bobo and the Lasallian Centre for Initiation to the Professions of Agriculture (CLIMA) in Beregadougou.
This hatchery will make it possible, within 8 months, to train young people and women in the production of quality fish; to create enterprises for the production and marketing of fish, but above all to considerably reduce the rate of fish imports and consequently the price of fish in Burkina Faso.
